EIGENMODE SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?
Normal mod
Salınım yapan bir sistemin normal modu, sistemin tüm bölümlerinin aynı frekansta ve sabit bir faz ilişkisiyle sinüsoidal hareket ettiği bir hareket modeldir. Normal modlarla açıklanan hareket rezonans olarak adlandırılır. Bir sistemin normal modlarının frekansları doğal frekansları veya rezonant frekansları olarak bilinir. Bir bina, köprü veya molekül gibi fiziksel bir nesnenin yapısına, materyaline ve sınır koşullarına bağlı olan bir dizi normal modu vardır. Müzikle ilgili olarak, titreşim araçlarının normal modlarına "harmonikler" veya "tonlar" denir. Bir sistemin en genel hareketi normal modlarının bir üst üste yerleştirilmesidir. Modlar bağımsız olarak hareket edebilmeleri anlamında normaldir, diğer bir deyişle bir modun uyarımının hiçbir zaman farklı bir modun harekete neden olmaz. Matematiksel olarak, normal modlar birbirine diktir. Normal mod kavramı, dalga teorisi, optik, kuantum mekaniği ve moleküler dinamiklerde de kullanılmaktadır.
