Enactivism
Enactivism, bilişin bir bilişsel organizma ve çevresi arasındaki dinamik bir etkileşime dayandığını iddia eder. Ortamımızın, dünyayla etkileşim kurma kapasitelerimiz aracılığıyla seçici olarak yarattığımız ortam olduğunu iddia ediyor. "Organizasyonlar pasif olarak çevrelerinden bilgi almazlar ve içsel sunumlara dönüştürürler Doğal bilişsel sistemler ... anlam yaratmaya katılırlar ... dönüşümsel ve yalnızca bilgi etkileşimi içine girerler; bir dünya oluştururlar." Bu yazarlar, enaktif terminolojiye verilen önemin artmasının, bilişsel bilimler hakkında düşünmek için yeni bir dönem olduğunu öne sürüyor. Enactivism'de yer alan eylemler, özgür irade ile ilgili yaşlı sorularla nasıl ilişkili olursa olsun, aktif bir tartışma konusu olmaya devam ediyor. 'Enactivism' terimi, "algılama konusunun eylemleriyle yaratıcı olarak durumunun gerekliliklerini eşleştirdiği biçim" olarak tanımlanan "eylemsizleştirme" anlamı ile yakındır.
