Enterocoely, bazı hayvan embriyolarının geliştiği bir süreçtir. Entoksik olarak, gelişmekte olan bir embriyo içerisinde bir mezoderm oluşur, buradaki sarkıt, sindirim sisteminden "sıkışan" keselerden oluşur. Bu tip coelom oluşumu, aynı zamanda enterokoelomatlar olarak da bilinen deutermostomlu hayvanlarda meydana gelir. Embriyo gelişimin gastrula evresine ulaştığında enterokoel gelişme başlar. Bu noktada iki kat hücre var - ektoderm ve endoderm katmanları. Mezoderm, endodermün katlanarak oluşturulan iki "cep" dokusu oluşturmaya başlar. Bu "cepler" büyümeye başlar ve bunu yaparken birbirlerine doğru uzarlar. Hücrenin iki "cebi" buluştuğunda, mezoderm oluşur - endoderm ve ektoderm tabakalarının tam arasına tam bir doku katmanı.
