Hareket, hareket süreci, spesifik anatomik terimler kullanılarak tanımlanmaktadır. Hareket, organların, eklemlerin, uzuvların ve vücudun belirli bölümlerinin hareketi içerir. Kullanılan terminoloji, bu hareketi, eklemlerin anatomik konumuna göre yönüne göre tanımlar. Anatomistler hareketlerin çoğunu tanımlamak için birleşik bir terim kümesi kullanıyorlar, ancak eller, ayaklar ve gözler gibi hareketlerin benzersizliğini tanımlamak için daha özel terimler gereklidir.
