Goldeye
Altın göz, Hiodon alosoides, mooneye familyasında bir balık türüdür. Mackenzie Nehri'nden kuzeyde Aklavik kadar güneyde Mississippi'ye kadar, batıda Alberta'dan Büyük Göller'in güneyinde Ohio'ya kadar, James Bay'ın güneyinde izole bir nüfusa sahip olarak meydana gelir. Gözlerde göze çarpan bir altın rengi iris için dikkate değerdir. Böcekler, kabuklular, balıklar, kurbağa, fıstık ve farelerde beslenen bulanık daha yavaş hareket eden göl ve nehir sularını tercih ediyor. Balık ortalama 1 lb'den az veya 12 inç uzunluğundadır, ancak bazı göllerde 2 lbs veya 16 inç bulunabilir. En fazla 52 cm uzunluğunda olduğu bildirildi. Bilimsel adı, gölgeli dişli hyoid anlamına gelir. Ayrıca Winnipeg goldeye, batı goldeye, sarı ringa balığı, dişli ringa, gölge ayışığı, la Queche, weepicheesis veya laquaiche aux yeux d'ya da Fransızca olarak da bilinir.
