Otomatik kılavuz yol geçişi, araçların otomatik olarak bir "kılavuz ray" boyunca yönlendirildiği, tamamen otomatikleştirilmiş, sürücüsüz, dereceli ayrılmış bir transit sistemdir. Taşıtlar sıklıkla kauçuktan yoruldu, ancak deneylerde çelik tekerlekler, hava yastığı ve maglev sistemleri de dahil olmak üzere diğer sistemler kullanıldı. Kılavuz ray, normal olarak hem yol hem de rehberlik gibi fiziksel destek sağlar.
