Dracunculus medinensis
Dracunculus medinensis veya Gine solucanı, guinea solucanı hastalığı olarak da bilinen dracuncculasis'e neden olan bir nematoddur. Hastalığa, insanlara bulaşan en uzun nematodlardan biri olan D. medinensis'in büyük kadın nematodu neden olur. Yetişkin kadın yetişkin erkekten daha büyüktür. 2009 yılında kaydedilen en uzun yetişkin kadın 800 mm iken, en büyük yetişkin erkek 40 mm idi. Ancak, 2014 yılına kadar, eradikasyon neredeyse tamamlandı.
