Halberd, 14. ve 15. yüzyıllarda önemli kullanıma sunulan iki elli bir kutup silahıdır. Halberd kelimesi Halm ve Barte deyimlerinden gelebilir. Modern Alman Almanyasında, silahın Hellebarde adı verilir. Haydut, uzun bir şafta monte edilmiş bir sivri uçla tepesinde bulunan bir balta bıçağından oluşur. Monte edilmiş muharipleri kavrayabilmek için balta bıçağının arka tarafında daima bir kanca veya diken var. Tasarım ve kullanımdaki belirli formlara çok benzemektedir. Haydut 1.5-1.8 metre uzunluğunda idi.
