Helenyum, Amerika kıtasında yaşayan papatya ailesi Asteraceae'de yaklaşık 40 tür yıllık ve yaprak döken otsu ölü sayısının cinsidir. Sarı veya turuncu papatya benzeri kompozit çiçekler taşırlar. Bu türlerin birçoğunda, kurutulmuş yaprakların yapraklarından eskiden yaprak kullanmalarına dayanarak, kötü ruhların bedenden kurtulacağı varsayılan hapşırıklığa neden olmak için inhale edilmesine dayanan ortak bir ad bulunur. Daha büyük türler 2 metreye kadar büyüyebilir. Helenium türleri Phymatopus behrensii de dahil olmak üzere bazı Lepidoptera türlerinin larvaları tarafından besin bitkileri olarak kullanılırlar.
