Holografi, üç boyutlu görüntülerin oluşturulmasını sağlayan bir tekniktir. Bir lazer, parazit, kırınım, ışık şiddeti kaydı ve kayıt uygun aydınlatma kullanımı içerir. İzleme sisteminin konumu ve yönü, nesne hala mevcutmış gibi tam olarak aynı şekilde değiştiğinde görüntü değişir ve böylece görüntü üç boyutlu görünür hale gelir. Hologramın kendisi bir görüntü değildir; yoğunluk, yoğunluk veya profil gibi görünen rasgele bir yapıdan oluşur.
