Homeostasis, aynı zamanda homoeastaz veya homosuostazın heceli, iç koşulların sabit kalması ve nispeten sabit kalması için değişkenlerin düzenlendiği bir sistemin mülkiyetidir. Homeostaz örnekleri, sıcaklığın düzenlenmesi ve asitlik ile alkalinite arasındaki dengeyi içerir.
