İnsani faktörler ve ergonomi, konfor tasarımı, fonksiyonel tasarım ve kullanıcı dostu sistemler, psikoloji, mühendislik, biyomekanik, mekanikbilim, endüstriyel tasarım, fizyoloji ve antropometreden katkılar içeren çok disiplinli bir alandır. Özünde, insan vücuduna ve bilişsel yeteneklerine uyan ekipman ve cihazların tasarlanması çalışmasıdır. İki terim olan "insan faktörleri" ve "ergonomi" esasen eş anlamlıdır. Uluslararası Ergonomi Birliği, ergonomiyi veya insan faktörlerini şu şekilde tanımlar: Ergonomi, insanlar arasındaki etkileşimi anlayabilmek ve bir sistemin diğer unsurları ile ilgili bilimsel disiplin ve teoriyi, ilkeleri, verileri ve yöntemleri uygulayan meslektir insan refahı ve genel sistem performansı. -Uluslararası Ergonomi Derneği HF \u0026 E, iş sağlığı ve güvenliği ile verimlilik hedeflerini gerçekleştirmek için istihdam edilmektedir.
