İslamileşmesi
İslamlaşma ya da İslamlaşma, toplumun İslam dine dönüşme sürecidir. Çağdaş kullanımda, yerli olarak farklı sosyal ve politik arka plana sahip bir toplum üzerinde İslamcı bir sosyal ve politik sistemin algılanan dayatılmasına atıfta bulunabilir. İngiliz eşanlamlıları, müslümanlaştırma ve arabileştirme, 1940 öncesi bu yana benzer bir anlam taşımaktadır. Batı dünyasında yaygın olan Arap insanlarla bütün Müslümanları tanımlama eğilimi nedeniyle, Arap dünyasında da Arap olmayan etkilere uygulanma eğiliminde. Müslümanlaştırma yakın zamanda, yeni edinilen dinsel kimliğini güçlendirmek isteyen yeni din değiştirenlerinin açıkça Müslüman uygulamalarını tanımlamak için üretilen bir terim olarak kullanılmıştır.
