Kara yatçığı, aynı zamanda kum yatçılık veya kara yatçığı olarak da bilinir, yelkenle rüzgarla çalışan üç tekerlekli bir araçla karadan geçme eylemidir. Terim yelkenle analojiden gelir. Tarihsel olarak, karayolu yelkenlemesi bir ulaşım ya da rekreasyon şekli olarak kullanılmıştır. 1950'lerden beri esas olarak bir yarış sporuna dönüştü. Yelkenlerde kullanılan araçlar yelken vagonları, kum yatları veya kara yatları olarak bilinir. Tipik olarak üç tekerlekleri bulunur ve bir yelkenli gibi işlev görürler, ancak bir oturma veya yatma konumundan çalıştırılmaları ve pedallar veya el kolları ile yönlendirilmesi dışında.
