Louvre Müzesi veya Louvre Müzesi dünyanın en büyük müzelerinden biri ve tarihi anıtlardan biridir. Paris'in merkezi bir dönüm noktası olan Fransa, 1. Bölgedeki Doğru Bank of Seine'de bulunmaktadır. 60 bin 600 metrekarelik alanda, prehistorya'tan 21. yüzyıla kadar yaklaşık 35.000 nesne sergilenmektedir. Her yıl 9.7 milyondan fazla ziyaretçiyle Louvre, dünyanın en çok ziyaret edilen müzesidir. Müze, aslında 12. yüzyılın sonlarında Philip II altında bir kale olarak inşa edilen Louvre Sarayı'nda barındırılıyor. Kalenin kalıntıları müzenin bodrumunda görülüyor. Yapı bugünkü Louvre Sarayı'nı oluşturmak için defalarca genişletildi. 1682'de Louis XIV, 1692'den itibaren eski Yunan ve Roma heykelleri koleksiyonunu içeren kraliyet koleksiyonunu sergilemek için Louvre'yı terk eden evine Versailles Sarayı'nı seçti. 1692'de bina, 1699'da bir dizi salonda gerçekleştirilen Académie des Inscriptions et Belles Lettres ve Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture tarafından işgal edildi. Académie Louvre'da 100 yıldır kaldı.
