Mas hamur işleri için İspanyolca'dır. Amerika'da, taze hazırlanmış hominy'den yapılan bir mısır hamuru olan masa de maíz için genellikle kısalır. Mısır ekmeği, tamales, pupusas, arepas ve diğer birçok Latin Amerika yemekleri yapmak için kullanılır. Kurutulmuş ve toz haline getirilmiş biçime masa harina, masa de harina ve bazen de önde gelen bir ticari markanın adı olan maseca denir. Kullanmadan önce su ile sulandırılır.
