Mikroiklim
Bir mikro iklim, çevrenin ikliminin farklı olduğu yerel bir atmosferik bölge. Terim, birkaç metre kare kadar küçük veya birkaç mil kare kadar geniş alanlara atıfta bulunabilir. Mikroklimatlar, örneğin, yerel atmosferi soğutacak su cisimlerinin yakınında veya tuğla, beton ve asfaltın güneş enerjisini emdiği, ısıntığı ve o sıcaklığın ortam havasına tekrar yerleştirildiği yoğun şehirlerde bulunur: ortaya çıkan kentsel ısı ada bir tür mikro iklime sahiptir.
