Bir mikrobilgisayar, merkezi işlemci birimi olarak bir mikroişlemcili küçük, nispeten ucuz bir bilgisayardır. Bir mikroişlemci, bellek ve giriş / çıkış olanakları içerir. Mikrobilgisayarlar 1970'li ve 80'li yıllarda gitgide daha güçlü mikroişlemcilerin gelişiyle popüler hale geldi.
