Nebulium
Nebulium, 1864'te William Huggins tarafından bir bulutsunun içinde önerilen bir elementti. Cat's Eye Nebula'nın güçlü yeşil emisyon çizgileri, spektroskopi ile keşfedildi, bu emisyondan henüz bilinmeyen bir elementin sorumlu olduğuna dair bir önermeye yol açtı. 1927'de Ira Sprague Bowen çizgilerin iki kat iyonize oksijen tarafından yayıldığını ve onları açıklamak için yeni bir element gerekmediğini gösterdi.
