Νέος ve λίθος ya da Yeni Taş devrinden gelen Neolitik Çağ ya da Dönem, ASPRO kronolojisine göre Orta Doğu'nun bazı bölümlerinde ve daha sonra diğer ülkelerde insan teknolojisinin gelişmesinde M.Ö. 10.200'de başlayan bir döneme aitti dünyanın dört bir yanına ve M.Ö. 4,500 ve 2000 yılları arasında bitmektedir. Geleneksel olarak Taş Devri'nin son bölümünü ele alan Neolitik Çağ, Holosen Epipaleolitik Dönem dönemini izledi ve "Neolitik Devrim" i üreten tarımın başlangıcıyla başladı. Metal aletleri yaygınlaştığında sona erdi. Neolitik, vahşi ve evcil bitkilerin ve evcilleştirilmiş hayvanların kullanımı da dahil olmak üzere davranışsal ve kültürel özelliklerin ve değişimlerin ilerlemesidir. Neolitik kültürün başlangıcı M.Ö. 10.200-8.800 yıllarında Levant'da kabul edilmektedir. Doğrudan bölgedeki Epipaleolitik Natufian kültürünü geliştirdi; insanlardan sonra gerçek yeşillik haline dönüşen yabani tahılların kullanılmasına öncülük ettiler. Natufian dönemi M.Ö. 12.000 ve 10.200 yılları arasında ve "proto-neolitik" olarak adlandırılan bu alan, M.Ö. 10.200-8.800 yılları arasında Çanak Çömleksiz Neolitik Dönem'e dahil edilmiştir.
