NESTORIANISM SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?

Nestorizm, İstanbul'un Patriği Nestorius tarafından 428-431 yılları arasında geliştirilen bir Hristiyan doktrini. Nostorius'un Theodore of Mopsuestia'nın Antakya Okulu'ndaki çalışmalarıyla öğrendiği doktrin, İsa'nın insan ve ilahi doğaları arasındaki ayrışmayı vurguluyor. Nestorius'un öğretileri, başta İskenderiye Cyril olmak üzere diğer önde gelen kilise liderleri ile çatışma içine girdi ve Meryem Ana'nın Theotokos unvanını reddetti. Nestorius ve öğretileri, sonunda 431'deki Efes Birinci Konseyi'nde ve 451'de Kalaleson Konseyi'nde sapkın olarak kınanarak, Nestorius'u destekleyen kiliselerin Hıristiyan Kilisesi'nin geri kalanıyla birlikte kopuşu olan Nestor Şiirine yol açtı. Daha sonra Nestorius'un destekçilerinin çoğu, Doğu Kilisesi olarak bilinen yerel Hıristiyan cemaatine üye oldukları Sasani Paşa'ya yerleşti. Önümüzdeki on yıllar boyunca Doğu Kilisesi, Nestor Kilisesi olarak dönüşümlü olarak tanınmaya yönlendirilen, doktrinde gittikçe Nestorya haline geldi.
