Nihilizme felsefi bir doktrin, hayatın bir ya da daha fazla anlamlı yönü olumsuzlamasını önerir. En yaygın olarak, nihilizm, hayatın objektif bir anlam, amaç veya öz değer içermediğini savunan varoluşçu nihil biçiminde sunulmaktadır. Ahlaksız nihilistler, ahlakın doğası gereği olmadığını ve mevcut ahlaki değerlerin soyut olarak tasarlandığını iddia etmektedir.
