Nomarch
Nomarchs, Eski Mısır vilayetlerinin yarı feodal yöneticileriydi. İl valileri olarak görev yapıyorlardı, her biri ülkenin bölünmüş olduğu 42 adadan birine yetki verdi. Nome, bir il veya ilçe anlamına gelen Yunanca nomos'dan türetilmiştir ve nomatik, nomosların hükümdarı olan Yunan ünvan nomaşlarından türetilmiştir. Nomarjlar önemli bir güç kullandılar. Krallığın adalara bölünmesi Eski Krallık'a kadar geriye belgelenebilir ve Roma dönemine kadar bile devam eder. Başlık, aynı zamanda modern Yunanistan'da, nomos başlıklı Yunanistan vilayetlerinin başkanları için de kullanılıyordu.
