Ahura Mazda
Ahura Mazda, Zerdüştiğin kurucusu Zerdüşt tarafından yaratılmamış ruh olarak ilan edilen Eski İran dininin daha yüksek bir ruhunun Avestan ismidir. Ahura Mazda, Zoroastrianizm'de en yüksek ibadet ruhu ve Yasna'da ilk ve en sık rastlanan ruh haline gelmiş olarak tarif edilmiştir. Ahura kelimesinin anlamı asa ışık anlamına gelir ve Mazda bilgelik demektir. Ahura Mazda, Darius I'in Behistun Yazısı altında Achaemenid döneminde ilk ortaya çıktı. Artaxerxes II yılına kadar Ahura Mazda'ya ibadet edildi ve tek başına başvuruldu. Artaxerxes II ile, Ahura Mazda, Mithra ve Apam Napat ile birlikte üçlü olarak çağırıldı. Achaemenid döneminde, Ahura Mazda'yı savaşlarda beyaz ordularına eşlik etmeye çağırmak için, her imparatorun boş at arabasına sahip olma özelliğinin dışında, Ahura Mazda'nın hiçbir beyanatı yok. Ahura Mazda'nın resimleri Parth döneminde başladı ancak durduruldu ve Sasani döneminde taş oyma figürlerle değiştirildi.
