Bir fıskiye kuş tünek kuşlarının pasajına ait bir kuştur. Bazen bilimsel veya yerel isim olarak görülen başka bir isim, Latince oscen'den Oscine'ler "bir şarkıcı" dır. Bu grup, vokal organının tipik olarak çeşitli ve detaylandırılmış bir kuş şarkısı üretecek şekilde geliştirildiği, dünyada bulunan yaklaşık 4.000 türü içeriyor. Şarkıcı kuşların 50 milyon yıl önce Gondwana'da dünyaya yayılmadan önce Avustralya, Yeni Zelanda, Yeni Gine ve Antarctica'ya dönüştüğünü gösteren kanıtlar var.
