Dilbilimde, palatalizasyon / ˌpælətəlaɪzeɪʃən / veya damak tadı, ağızdaki damak yakınında bir dille üretilen bir sesin, genellikle bir ünsüzün geldiği iki farklı işleme atıfta bulunabilir. Mevcut bir dilin sesbilgisini tanımlarken, palatalize edilmiş bir ünsüz, palatal ikinci bir eklem ile telaffuz edilen bir akort.
