PENTARCHY SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?
Pentarchy
"Pentarchy", Hıristiyanlığın tarihinde, Roma İmparatorluğunun beş büyük piskoposluk görüntüsü olan Roma, İstanbul, İskenderiye, Antakya ve Kudüs'ün başkanları tarafından Hıristiyanlığın tümünde evrensel kural fikri için kullanılan bir terimdir. Fikri, bu beş görüşün siyasi ve dinsel önemi nedeniyle ortaya çıktı, ancak evrensel ve münhasır yetkili kavramı, Roma İmparatorluğu'nun idari yapısına sıkı sıkıya bağlıydı. Pentarika fikri, özellikle Novella 131'de İmparator I. Justinian'ın yasalarında somut olarak ifade edildi. 692 Kisim Metin Konseyi, resmen tanınmasını sağladı ve görüşleri üstünlük sırasına göre sıraladı. Özellikle Quinisext'i takiben, pentarşi en azından Doğu Hıristiyanlığında felsefi olarak kabul edildi, ancak genellikle Konseyi reddeden Batı'da değildi. Bu görüşlerin diğerleriyle ilgili olarak daha büyük yetkileri, onların siyasi ve dinsel önemine bağlı; hepsi Roma İmparatorluğunun önemli şehirlerinde ve bölgelerinde bulunmuş ve Hıristiyan Kilisesi'nin önemli merkezleri idi.
