Fizyokrasi, ulusların zenginliğinin yalnızca "toprak tarımı" veya "arazi geliştirme" değerinden kaynaklandığına ve tarımsal ürünlerin yüksek fiyatlı olmasına inanan 18. yüzyıl Fransız ekonomistlerinden oluşan bir grup tarafından geliştirilen bir ekonomik teoridir. Onların teorileri Fransa'da ortaya çıkmış ve 18. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında popüler olmuştur. Fizyokrasi belki de iyi gelişmiş ekonomi teorisidir. Harekete özellikle François Quesnay ve Anne-Robert-Jacques Turgot hakimdi. 1776'da Adam Smith'in Uluslar Servetinin yayınıyla başlayan klasik ekonomi olan ilk modern okuldan hemen önce geldi. Fizyokratların en önemli katkısı, ulusal zenginliğin kaynağı olarak üretken çalışmaya verdikleri vurgudur.
