PIGS (ekonomi)
PIGS veya PIIGS, ekonomi ve finanste kullanılan bir kısaltmadır. 1990'lı yıllardan başlayarak bu terim genellikle güney Avrupa'daki dört ekonomi olan Portekiz, İtalya, Yunanistan ve İspanya ekonomilerine değiniyor. Avrupa egemen borç krizinin başlamasıyla birlikte İrlanda, İtalya'yı değiştirerek ya da ikinci bir ülke olarak I ile ilişkilendirildi. Bazen, İngiltere için ikinci bir G de eklendi. Terim, yaygın olarak küçümseyici olarak değerlendirildi ve Financial Times ve Barclays Capital tarafından 2010 yılında kullanımını sınırladı.
