Pinnation
Pinnasyon, ortak bir eksenin her iki yanından çıkan tüy benzeri veya çok bölünmüş özelliklerin düzenidir. Pinnasyon, biyolojik morfolojide, buz veya metal kristallerinin bazı formları gibi kristallerde ve erozyon kalıplarında veya akarsu yataklarında oluşur. Terim, "tüy", "kanat" ya da "kanat" anlamındaki Latince pinna kelimesinden gelir. Benzer bir kavram, tarak benzeri parçaların düzenlemesi olan pektinasyondur. Pinnasyona, palmation'ın aksine, parçaları veya yapıları ortak bir noktadan yayılan palmiye denir. Terimler ve pinnasyon ve pennation aynı kökenlidir ve bazen belirgin bir şekilde kullanılırlar ancak iki kelimenin anlamı veya kullanımı anlamında tutarlı bir fark yoktur.
