Plataea
Plataea veya Plataeae, Thebes'in güneyinde, Boeotia'nın güneydoğusundaki Yunanistan'da bulunan eski bir şehirdi. Plataea Muharebesi'nin M.Ö. 479'da Yunan şehir devletleri ittifakının Persleri yendiği yerdi. Plataea, M.Ö. 427 yılında Thebes ve Sparta tarafından Peloponese savaşında yok edildi ve M.Ö. 386 yılında yeniden inşa edildi.
