Plevral boşluk
İnsan anatomisinde plevral boşluk akciğerlerin iki plevra arasındaki potansiyel boşluktur. Bir plevra, iki katmanlı bir membran yapısı oluşturmak için kendisine geri katlanan seröz bir zardır. İki plevra tabakası arasındaki ince boşluk plevral boşluk olarak bilinir ve normal olarak az miktarda plevral sıvı içerir. Dış plevra göğüs duvarına yapıştırılmıştır. İç plevra akciğerleri ve bitişik yapıları kan damarları, bronşlar ve sinirler vasıtasıyla kapatır. Parietal plevra, ağrıya karşı oldukça duyarlıdır; viseral plevra, duyusal inervasyon eksikliğinden ötürü değildir.
