Polywater, 1960'ların sonlarında çok bilimsel tartışmalara konu olan bir hipotez polimerize suyardı. 1969 yılına gelindiğinde, popüler basın fark etti ve ABD'de "poli-su boşluğu" korkularını doğurdu.
