Tarihten sonra yapılan çekin para üzerinde yazılıma tarihten önce para yatırılmasına veya yatırılmasına bağlı olup olmadığı ülkeye bağlıdır. Örneğin bir Kanada bankasının peşin ödeme yapması beklenmemekte ve yanlışlıkla yapması halinde banknottan bankanın hatayı düzeltmesini istemektedir.
