PRESYNAPTIC SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?
Kimyasal sinaps
Kimyasal sinapslar, nöronların birbirlerine ve kaslar veya bezlerdeki gibi nöronal olmayan hücrelere sinyal gönderdikleri kavşaklardır. Kimyasal sinapslar nöronların merkezi sinir sistemi içerisinde devreler oluşturmasına izin verir. Algı ve düşüncenin altında yatan biyolojik hesaplamalar için çok önemlidirler. Sinir sisteminin vücudun diğer sistemlerine bağlanmasına ve bu sistemin kontrolüne izin verirler. Kimyasal sinapslarda, bir nöron, nörotransmitter molekülleri, başka bir nöronun bitişiğindeki küçük bir alana salınır. Nörotransmitterler veziküller adı verilen küçük keseler içinde tutulur ve ekzositoz ile sinaptik yarık içine salınır. Bu moleküller daha sonra sinaptik yarıkların postsinaptik hücre tarafındaki reseptörlere bağlanır. Son olarak, nörotransmitterler, enzimatik bozulma ya da vericinin etkisini sona erdirmek için presinaptik hücrede ya da muhtemelen nörogram ile spesifik taşıyıcılar tarafından geri alımı içeren çeşitli potansiyel mekanizmalar vasıtasıyla sinapsdan temizlenmelidir. Yetişkin insan beyninin 1014 ila 5 × 1014 sinaps içerdiği tahmin edilmektedir. Her kübik milimetre serebral korteks kabaca bir milyar içerir.
