Psikometri
Psikometri, psikolojik ölçüm teorisi ve tekniği ile ilgili çalışma alanıdır. Alanın bir kısmı, beceri ve bilginin, yeteneklerin, tutumların, kişilik özelliklerinin ve eğitim başarısının objektif ölçümü ile ilgilidir. Örneğin, psikometrik araştırma, anketler, testler, değerlendiricilerin yargıları ve kişilik testleri gibi değerlendirme araçlarının inşası ve geçerliliği ile ilgilidir. Alanın diğer bir kısmı, ölçüm teorisine dayanan istatistiksel araştırmalarla ilgilidir. Böylece, psikometri iki temel araştırma görevini içerir: ölçüm araçları ve ölçüm prosedürleri; ve ölçüme yönelik teorik yaklaşımların geliştirilmesi ve geliştirilmesi. Psikometri uygulayan insanlara psikometri denir.
