Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, 7 Mayıs 2012'den beri Rusya Devlet Başkanı olarak görev yapıyordu. 2000-2008 yılları arasında başkanlık görevini sürdürdü ve 1999 yılından itibaren Rusya Başbakanı olarak görev yapıyordu.
