Radyometri
Optikte, radyometri, görünür ışık da dahil olmak üzere elektromanyetik radyasyonu ölçmek için kullanılan bir dizi tekniktir. Radyometrik teknikler, ışığın insan gözü ile olan etkileşimini karakterize eden fotometrik teknikler yerine radyasyon gücünün uzaydaki dağılımını karakterize eder. Radyometri, foton sayımı gibi kuantum tekniklerinden farklıdır. Radyometri, astronomide, özellikle radyo astronomisinde önemlidir ve Dünya uzaktan algılamada önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Optometrede radyometri olarak kategorize edilen ölçüm teknikleri, bazı astronomik uygulamalarda fotometri olarak adlandırılır; bu terim optik kullanımının aksine. Spektroradiometri, dalga boyunun dar bantlarında mutlak radyometrik miktarların ölçümüdür. SI radyometri birimleri Standartlar örgütleri fotometrik veya foton miktarlarıyla karıştırılmamak için radyometrik miktarların "e" sonekiyle belirtilmesini önermektedir.
