Uluslararası Kızıl Haç ve Kızılay Hareketi, insan hayatını ve sağlığını korumak, tüm insanlara saygı göstermek ve insan acısını önlemek ve hafifletmek için kurulan yaklaşık 97 milyon gönüllü, üye ve personelin bulunduğu dünya çapındaki insani bir harekettir. Hareket, hukuken birbirinden bağımsız birkaç farklı organizasyondan oluşur; ancak ortak temel ilkeler, hedefler, semboller, tüzükler ve yönetim örgütleri aracılığıyla hareket içinde birleştirilir. ICRC, üç kez Nobel Barış Ödülü aldı. ▪ Uluslararası Kızıl Haç ve Kızılay Dernekleri Federasyonu 1919'da kuruldu ve bugün Hareketteki 188 Ulusal Kızıl Haç ve Kızılay Derneği arasındaki faaliyetleri koordine ediyor.
