Bir kaynak, fayda üretilen bir kaynak veya tedariktir. Genellikle kaynaklar, fayda sağlamak için dönüştürülen materyal, hizmet, personel ya da diğer varlıklardır ve süreç içinde tüketilebilir ya da kullanılamaz hale getirilebilir. Kaynak kullanımının faydaları, artan servet, ihtiyaçları karşılama veya istekler, bir sistemin düzgün bir şekilde çalışması veya geliştirilmiş refah içerebilir.
