Deniz kurtarma, bir gemi enkazından sonra bir gemiyi, yükünü veya diğer mülklerini kurtarma işlemidir. Kurtarma, çekme, batmış veya topraklanmış gemi refleatasyonunu veya bir gemiyi düzeltme veya tamir etmeyi kapsar. Günümüzde çevreyi petrol veya diğer kirleticiler gibi yüklerden korumak çoğu zaman öncelik taşır. "Salvors", kendilerine ait olmayan ve geminin orijinal mürettebatı üyesi olmayan gemilere kurtarma yapan denizci ve mühendislerdir.
