Semantik anlam araştırmasıdır. Sözcükler, cümleler, işaretler ve semboller gibi işaretleyiciler arasındaki ilişki üzerinde duruyor ve ne ifade ettikleri, işaretleri. Dilbilim semantiği, insan ifadesini dil yoluyla anlamada kullanılan anlam araştırmasıdır. Diğer anlambilim biçimleri, programlama dilleri, resmi mantıklar ve göstergebilim semantiklerini içerir. Sözcük anlambilim kendisi, popülerden son derece teknik olmak üzere bir dizi fikir gösterir. Genellikle sıradan bir dilde, kelime seçimi veya çağrışımla ilgili olan bir anlayış problemi belirtmek için kullanılır. Bu anlayış sorunu, özellikle resmi anlambilim alanında, uzunca bir süre resmi soruşturmanın konusu olmuştur.
