Semtex, RDX ve PETN içeren genel amaçlı bir plastik patlayıcıdır. Ticari patlatma, yıkım ve bazı askeri uygulamalarda kullanılır. Semtex, teröristlerle popülerlik kazandı çünkü Pan Am Uçuş 103'te olduğu gibi, son zamanlara kadar tespit edilmesi son derece zordu. Orjinal askeri kullanım için B 1 adı altında üretildi. Şu an itibariyle üretildi. 1964 yılından bu yana SEMTEX 1A olarak etiketlenmiş, 1967'den bu yana SEMTEX H ve 1987'den beri SEMTEX 10 olarak etiketlenmiştir.
