Sinüs dalgası veya sinüzoidal, pürüzsüz tekrarlayan salınımı tanımlayan matematiksel bir eğrisidir. Sinüs fonksiyonundan sonra grafiğin adı verilir. Saf ve uygulanan matematiğin yanı sıra fizik, mühendislik, sinyal işleme ve daha birçok alanda da sıklıkla görülür. Zamanın bir fonksiyonu olarak en temel şekli şöyledir: Burada: ▪ A, genlik, fonksiyonun sıfırdan sapma pikidir. ▪ sıradan frekans, her saniyede meydana gelen salınımların sayısıdır. ▪ ω = 2πf, açısal frekans, fonksiyon argümanının saniye başına radyan birimlerinin değişim oranıdır ▪ faz, osilasyonun t = 0'daki o döngüsünün nerede olduğunu belirtir. ▪ Sıfır olmadığında, tüm dalga şekli zaman içinde / ω saniye kaydırılmıştır. Negatif bir değer gecikmeyi, pozitif bir değer ise ilerlemeyi temsil eder. Sönümsüz yay kütlesi sisteminin denge etrafındaki titreşimi sinüs dalgasıdır.
