Sıvı küfü veya sümüksü küf, çoğalmak için sporları kullanan bazı organizmaları tanımlayan geniş bir terimdir. Çamur kalıpları daha önce mantar olarak sınıflandırılmış, ancak artık bu krallığın bir parçası sayılmamaktadır. Birbirleriyle ilgisiz olmasına rağmen, bazen kolaylık sağlamak için krallık Protista diye anılan parafyletik grup içerisinde gruplandırılmıştır. Çok çeşitli renklerde bulunan sümük kalıbı 900'den fazla türü tüm dünyada görülür. Ortak adı, bu organizmaların yaşam döngüsünün bir kısmının jelatinimsi "sümüksü" olarak görülebileceği anlamına gelir. Bu çoğunlukla makroskopik sümük kalıpları olan myxogastria ile görülür. Çoğu sümük kalıbı birkaç santimetreden daha küçüktür, ancak bazı türler birkaç metrekareye kadar boyutlara ve 30 grama kadar kitlelere ulaşabilir. Çoğu sümük kalıbı, yani "hücresel" sümük kalıpları, aslında zamanlarının çoğunu bu durumda geçirmez. Besin bol olduğu sürece, bu sümüksü küfler tek hücreli organizmalar olarak var olurlar. Besin eksik olduğunda, tek hücreli organizmaların birçoğu bir araya gelir ve tek bir vücut olarak hareket etmeye başlar.
