Solvay prosesi veya amonyak-soda prosesi, soda külü üretiminde kullanılan temel sanayi prosesi. Amonyak-soda prosesi 1860'lı yıllarda Ernest Solvay tarafından modern formuna dönüştürülmüştür. Bu işlemin bileşenleri halihazırda temin edilebilir ve ucuzdur: tuzlu tuzlu su ve kalker. 2005 yılında dünya çapında soda külü üretimi, Dünya'daki her bir kişi için yılda altı kilogramdan fazla olan 42 milyar kilogram olarak tahmin edildi.
