Hoparlör, mikrofonlu bir telefon ve el cihazındaki hoparlörlerden ayrı olarak verilen bir hoparlördür. Bu cihaz, birden fazla kişinin bir görüşmeye katılmasına olanak tanır. Hoparlör, telefon hattının diğer ucundaki sesleri veya sesleri yayınlarken, mikrofon hoparlörü kullananların tüm seslerini yakalar. Hoparlör terimi bazen hoparlör için de kullanılır ("hoparlörün içine koyun" gibi). Birçok telefonda, tek bir düğmeye basarak etkinleştirilebilen entegre bir hoparlör işlevi bulunur. Bu düğme ahizedeki ses giriş ve çıkışını ortam mikrofonuna ve hoparlöre aktarır.
