Spicules, bazı nematodların kopülasyon spikülleri veya bazı kurbağaların derisinde bulunan tahıllar gibi, birçok organizmada bulunan farklı orijinli ve işlevdeki küçük başak benzeri yapılardır. Süngerlerde spiküller yapısal bir işlev görürler. Spicules birçok organizmanın çok önemli bir parçasıdır.
