Stark efekti
Stark etkisi, harici bir elektrik alanının varlığına bağlı olarak atomların ve moleküllerin spektral çizgilerinin kayması ve ayrılmasıdır. Bölme ve / veya kaydırma miktarına Stark bölme veya Stark kayması denir. Genelde birincil ve ikinci dereceden Stark etkilerini ayırt eder. Birinci mertebe etki, uygulanan elektrik alanında doğrusalken ikinci mertebeden etki alanın ikinci dereceden çarpımıdır. Yüklü parçacıklar tarafından spektral çizgilerin basınç genişlemesinden Stark efekti sorumludur. Bölünmüş / kaymış çizgiler emildiyse, efekt ters Stark efekti olarak adlandırılır. Stark efekti, bir spektral çizginin bir manyetik alanın varlığı nedeniyle çeşitli bileşenlere ayrıldığı Zeeman efektinin elektriksel analogudur.
