Biyolojide, bir filum krallığın altında ve sınıfın üstünde bir taksonomik rütbe. Geleneksel olarak, botanikte "filum" yerine terim bölümü kullanılır, 1993 yılında Uluslararası Botanik Kongresi "filum" tanımını kabul etmiştir. The Kingdom of Animalia yaklaşık 35 filum içerir; krallık Plantae 12 phyla içerir. Filogenetikteki günümüzdeki araştırmalar, Ecdysozoa ve Embryophyta gibi daha büyük sıralamalar içerisinde bulunan filumlar arasındaki ilişkileri ortaya çıkarmaktır.
